After struggling with my son’s health for his first year of life, I learned a whole new way of approaching chronic illness. Months upon months were spent holding a sick baby day and night, making trips to the pediatrician, giving antibiotics for ear infections, prednisone and albuterol for RSV, and never having a healthy little boy. It was then I decided I had nothing to lose and brought him to the chiropractor I was seeing at the time for headaches. I thought he was crazy when he told me to bring my one year old in for ear infections. What??? I’ve never heard of such a thing. Thus began my education in the world of chiropractic, nutrition, and natural health care. He got adjusted, I changed his diet, gave him supplements, and used homeopathic remedies to help him heal. And guess what? Those almost weekly pediatrician visits and antibiotic prescriptions literally stopped. From the time he started chiropractic care at 15 months of age until he was 5 years old and needing a pre-kindergarten physical, he did not go back to the pediatrician ONE time. I now had a healthy, thriving little boy, not the sick one I had for over a year, who by the way, I was told needed tubes in his ears, was going to have asthma, and would never get better. Needless to say, there were no surgeries for tubes, no asthma, and no more nights spent holding a nebulizer in front of his face to help him breathe. After I learned this way of life, I absolutely had to go to chiropractic school. I quickly changed tracks from the nursing path I was on because I made it my mission to teach other parents, and any person who wanted to learn, a different, healthier, and in a lot of cases, more effective way, to live. It’s still my mission today and it’s why I am so passionate about what I do.
I am a chiropractic physician specializing in functional medicine, nutrition, sports rehabilitation, auto accident injuries, and acupuncture. The most common conditions I assess and use natural approaches to correct are thyroid and autoimmune disorders, digestive problems, weight loss, conditions related to pregnancy, and children/babies with chronic illnesses such as ear infections, asthma, and the common cold. Infants with sleep disorders, colic and digestive problems also do phenomenally well under my care. I have a variety of techniques in getting athletes healthy, resolving injuries with Graston technique, and helping them reach peak performance. My passion is getting entire families healthy and keeping them that way with chiropractic care, education about diet and supplementation, and the use of targeted diagnostic labs when necessary.
My mission is to provide the highest quality of compassionate, individualized, patient centered care possible through the use of natural therapies to assist patients in achieving optimal health and potential.
As each patient is different in their presentation, I believe each patient should have an individualized approach to their care. With over 15 years of experience in nutrition and detoxification, I incorporate these principles into each patient's treatment plan to help them attain true health.
